Ben Burnett

DIRECTOR

Ben Burnett is a seasoned fire & general insurance broker based in Mount Maunganui, with over two decades of experience in the insurance industry. His career began in commercial underwriting in Auckland and transitioned into a broking role in 2010 after he had moved to Tauranga. By the end of 2013 he had established his own brokerage, Burnett Piper Insurance Brokers Limited, in Mount Maunganui. Specialising in commercial risks, Ben adopted a fresh, technical approach to break the mould of the typical insurance adviser.

In June 2025, Ben sold Burnett Piper Insurance Brokers to Affiliated, continuing as a shareholder and director. This transition has provided him with additional resources to maintain his primary focus: delivering exceptional service and tailored insurance solutions to his clients.

Outside of work, Ben is passionate about staying fit and enjoys staying active with a variety of outdoor pursuits. Whether it’s hitting the waves for a surf, carving up the slopes while snowboarding with his kids, or taking the boat out for a day of fishing, Ben values quality time spent with family and the thrill of adventure. These hobbies fuel his energy and drive, both personally and professionally.
