Making a Claim

We take great care in looking after your claims.
Our friendly team will assist you, act on your behalf and negotiate with the insurer to provide a speedy settlement.

What To Do

Please contact us as soon as possible by phone to advise us of your loss. Claim forms may be completed and downloaded to us.
When completing a claim form please be sure to answer all the questions thoroughly and truthfully.

Some Claim Guidelines

Home and contents claims
  • Broken window glass: No claim form required. Arrange a repairer and have the invoice sent to us
  • Lost or broken glasses: No claim form required. Arrange to have your glasses repaired or fixed. Supply us with a repair report or an invoice for replacement glasses. Eye tests are not covered.
  • House break in or burglary: Arrange for the house to be made secure. Contact us. An assessor will be appointed.
  • Water damage: Arrange for floors and coverings to be dried by a professional cleaner. Contact us.
  • Loss or breakage of contents: Complete a claim form and provide: proof of purchase as receipts or bank statements; a repair report; a quote for replacement items; copies of original valuations for artwork and  high value items.

Motor vehicle claims
  • Windscreen repair: A claim form is not required. Arrange for an invoice to be sent to us and we will organise payment. 
  • Motor Vehicle Accidents: Please advise us of details (what, when, how and who); obtain third-party details; do not admit liability; if the vehicle is not drivable or rideable arrange towing to a repairer; the repairer will not proceed with repairs until authorised by the insurer. ​

Travel claims
  • Contact our office as soon as possible or ring the New Zealand telephone number of the insurer your policy is with.

Business claims
  • Contact our office as soon as possible.
